Richard P. Moskaluk, Sr., age 84, of Hanover Township, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 18, 2020 at home, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on May 26, 1936, he was the son of the late Terrance and Lorraine Youlls Moskaluk.
Richard was a graduate of Harter High School and then served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He was a member of the Luzerne County Volunteer Sheriff’s Department Motorcycle Division and the Irem Temple Motor Corps. Richard always had a passion for riding his Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed gardening, cooking, entertaining and listening to Polka music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Randy; brother, Terrance Moskaluk; and step-daughter, Lisa Marie Kearney.
Surviving are his loving wife of 27 years, Irene Lewis Moskaluk; children, Debra (Eddie) Piper, Donna (Ray) Sterwerf, Richard, Jr. (Dorene) Moskaluk; step-son, Ron (Kerry) Kearney; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Arden (Al) Decker; several nieces and nephews.
Richard’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice for assisting with his care during the last few months.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM from Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 173 E. Green St., Nanticoke, with the Rev. Dennis Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Edge Hill Cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Monday from 5-8 PM. Due to the current health restrictions, masks will be required and social distancing observed.

Richard was a great guy that made every one laugh. He was a good friend, him, my husband, & son- in-law. Would talk and have a good time at my grandchildren birthday party.
