Bridget Helen Jarrett, age 94 of Nanticoke, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, surrounded by her daughters, while a guest at Birchwood Nursing Home.

Born in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen Pascavage Connell.

Family was everything to Bridget, and she dedicated her life to them. We will always remember her Sunday dinners, her beautiful smile, and her infectious laugh. She was dedicated to her Catholic faith and was a member of the former St.Francis Church in Nanticoke for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert; son, Robert; sister, Doris Dillon; brother, William Connell; granddaughter, Heather Elizabeth Koepke; grandson, Justin Koepke.

Surviving are children: William Jarrett, Nanticoke; Joyce Koepke and companion, Larry Trygar, Roaring Brook Twp; Judy Zavislak and husband, Darrell, Hunlock Creek; Thomas Lewis and wife, Carol, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren: Bill, Jr., Jason, Jennifer, Amy, Rachel, Alicia, Hayley, Robert, and Sheila; great-grandchildren: Jocelyn, Emma, Wyatt, Rocco, Camden and Cadence.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Francis Cemetery, Nanticoke. Those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery, as there will be no procession from the funeral home.

Family and friends are invited to a walk-through viewing on Sunday evening from 5-8 PM at Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 173 E. Green St., Nanticoke. Those attending are asked to please follow social distancing and face covering guidelines.

I am so sorry to here of the passing of Aunt Betty. She was a loving aunt with the prettiest blue eyes. I have so many fond memories of time spent in Nanticoke with my aunts, uncles and cousins. My deepest sympathy to the family.
