Barbara Judith Mack

Barbara J. Mack, age 86, of Tilbury Terrace, West Nanticoke, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Residential Hospice IPU @ Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
She was a 1952 graduate of Nanticoke High School and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1955. She worked for many years at Nanticoke State Hospital and Mercy Special Care Hospital until her retirement.
Barbara was a member of St. Faustina Parish. She loved ballroom dancing, traveling to Las Vegas and spending her winters at St. Simons Island, Georgia. She especially enjoyed her time at home watching her numerous cats and kittens.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Gerald J. Mack; parents, James and Anna Grabowski Dillon; brothers, William and Edward Burke, James Dillon; sisters, June Stone, Geraldine Wasiakowski, and Marion Obniski.
Surviving are her daughters, Jeri-Ann Mack, of Florida, and Carla Mack Scharbach, of West Nanticoke; granddaughters, Lee Ann Mack Scharbach and Trinity Mack, both of Reno, Nevada; sister-in-law, Marion Burke, of Florida; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 AM from Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 173 E. Green St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Faustina Church. The Rev. James Nash will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
