Amelia B. (“Millie”) Marks, 87, of Nanticoke passed away December 15, 2013 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Nanticoke, Millie was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Gelchis Wasilius. She was a long-time member of the former St. Joseph’s Church, now St. Faustina Parish, and active in the Christian Mother’s Society. More recently she was an active participant at the Area Agency on Aging’s Rose Tucker-Senior Center program in Nanticoke.
In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her husband Leonard, in 1979; brothers: Joseph, William and Edward Wasilius; sisters: Ann Sokoloski, Margaret Swirski, Dorothy Kotulak, and Connie Ficucell.
Surviving are: son: Michael Marks and his wife, Paula; daughters: Pat Marks, Wilkes-Barre and Elaine Charles and her husband Kevin, Dover, NH; grandchildren: Dorothy Marks O’Boyle, Lindsey and Curtis Charles; two great grandsons.
